This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
so, there's this quote in STALKER, by the Writer, who says:
"A man writes because he is tormented, because he doubts. He needs to constantly prove to himself and the others that he's worth something. And if I know for sure that I'm a genius? Why write then? What the hell for? "
Now while I agree with the first part, I can't with the second. I'm no writer, I simply write, but even I understand the fact that one writes not only for themselves, but also for others. Writer himself even says that he needs to "constantly prove to himself and others" But in genius, is there no advance? And is it so bad to write simply to amuse others, or make them think? Or evoke emotions? Or to gain money?
Of course nobody would do this all of the time, but at some point, yes, I do write for others, and it feels completely different from writing for myself.
I don't know if people out here feel the same or not. Or if what I say has any significance. But I do care.
